We will have a 2 week fall sale starting Friday October 23 2009. During the 2 weeks we will start with 200 original frame windows with a 50% discount. These windows will be on the outside racks and will be clearly marked. We will be taking down all the outside display racks after these 2 weeks and storing the windows away for winter. The store will remain open throughout the winter with about 1700 windows on display and available for sale.

Some people are bringing their visitors to our store and we are being asked about shipping windows. Shipping is not something that we do. There is a business card for a professional shipping company available in the store (we have no arrangement with them). However, the simplest answer for someone who is travelling, is to go to a thrift store and buy the biggest suitcase available. Have a hardware store cut some 3/8" panelling for the insides, and then put the windows inside (bubble wrap or stuff as necessary to cushion the glass). This technique is what we use.

As spring is coming up, we've started to bring the racking material out of storage and assemble it in order to
begin displaying original framed windows once again. Currently, we only have our initial four racks set up with around
150 windows out for display. We hope that over the next few weeks (weather dependant, of course), we'll begin to
bring the remainder of the racks on out to display all of the windows we currently have in storage. We'll
post an update when it's fully done; in the meantime, here's some pictures from the building of the first few racks:

It has been a while, so it's time for a new update on a number of things for the store. Currently, the website is now finished, so in the future, it will be easier for us to create more galleries, add information, and keep it updated faster than before in the past. We are now in the process as well of looking towards taking some of our more exceptional pieces, taking photos, and selling them through our website. We hope to be able to expand out a bit more via this route, and allow people that might be able to visit the chance to purchase something that is truly unique.
We do not have the window racks out yet at this time, as the end of winter is not yet in sight. Once the weather is far better, we will make a news update informing that we've done as such.

By last weekend, we've now put into storage all of the windows that reside on the racks outside the shop. We have taken a select number of those windows and given them homes either inside the shop, or underneath the covered area at the end of the store. The shop is still open 9AM to 5PM, all week long during the winter as usual, and there is over a thousand windows available to see at this time. The windows will eventually come back out once spring arrives, so it'll be unknown as to when that will exactly be due to the weather.

The Stonehouse website now features a new look and design that will be expanded and revised over the next month, with the hopes of bringing it up to current web standards for the featuring of our windows and more. Also, at some point, we hope to create some web content videos featuring the repair of windows, deframing, tours of the store, and more.
