The History Behind The Lights

The lights have been been going on out for almost 14 years now, and started with the creation of the original six "Eaton's Boxes". They are named after the displays seen in Toronto, as they feature a unique story inside each box with various animated figurines.

Over time, decorations such as the 20 foot wide and 14 foot tall lightrope castle were handbuilt by the Singleton's, and more and more decorations were purchased by Paul Singleton as they came available. In 2007, we were fortunate enough to acquire five fibreglass, high quality Santa models and several painted "photo op" cutouts at the Whitby Cullen Gardens final auction - a part of Ontario heritage.

We continue to build new decorations and displays yearly, so every year will continue to be different and new for both people seeing it for the first time, and those that have been here for the past many years.
